Competition Rules

Except where explicitly stated or limited by the venue playing conditions, the current

FIBA Official Basketball Rules shall apply.

Tournament: 5 on 5 & 3 on 3 Saturday & Monday

Possible Friday Night will come into Play

5x5 Rules

Round games:
 4 x 8 minute quarters, running clock (no shot clock)
 1 min Qtr. time
 2 min half time
 1 time out per team per half
 Time outs do not carry over from the first half to the second half.
 If a team requests a time out in the last minute of the last quarter, the clock
will stop (all other time outs, the clock will NOT stop)
 The ball will only be advanced if the time out is called in the last minute of the
game
 Time out 1 minute in duration
 Bonus on the 5th and subsequent foul
 5 personal player fouls – fouled out of the game
 Draws are permitted

Semi-Finals & Finals:

 4 x 8 minute quarters, running clock
 1 min Qtr. Time
 2 min half time
 1 time out per team first half
 2-time outs per team second half
 If a team requests a time out in the last minute of the last quarter, the clock
will stop (all other time outs, the clock will NOT stop)
 Time outs do not carry over from the first half to the second half
 The ball will only be advanced if the time out is called in the last minute of the
game
 Time out 1 minute in duration
 Bonus on the 5th and subsequent foul
 5 personal player fouls – fouled out of the game
 The last-minute of the last quarter will be fully timed if the game is 10 points or
less.
 The clock will stop after a made basket and whistle.

Overtime on semi-finals & grand finals:
 Free throw shoot out until a result

Draw

​

• The draw will be set by IC2022 and released no later than four (4) weeks out from the start of the IC2022 Championships.

• All teams will have a minimum of (5) games.

• Games will be scheduled to start no earlier than 8:00 am and no later than 9:00 pm.
